The engineer will be responsible for developing roadway design models and construction plan sets, supporting project delivery, and collaborating closely with project managers and team members to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and deliverables. Depending on experience level, responsibilities may also include project leadership, client coordination, and mentorship of junior staff.Project work includes a diverse mix of VDOT and local municipality initiatives, including roadway intersection improvements, corridor and streetscape enhancements, multi-use trail design, pedestrian improvements, alternative intersection configurations (such as RCUTs), and ITS structure replacements.
