Insight Global is looking for a Senior Structural (Bridge) Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary engineering firm in Peterborough Ontario. This is a hybrid role and requires 3x/week on site... Peterborough.Reporting to the Structural (Bridge) Department Manager, you will be responsible for projects from inception to completion and provide engineering services supporting various projects. including preliminary project planning, design, and approval of assigned projects.Key Responsibilities:? Involvement in preliminary and detail design.? Identify and solve complex engineering design issues in order to satisfy clients? needs while adhering to applicable policies, practices, and procedures.? Complete preliminary and detailed design calculations in order to support engineering recommendations.? Prepare project estimates, budget, schedules, and execution plans.? Undertake technical and feasibility studies including site investigations.? Prepare technical reports.? Liaise with internal and external clients, including staff, clients, agencies, and subconsultants.? Preparation of technical specifications and contract documents.? Manage budgets and project resources, monitoring progress against budget and forecasted schedule.? Ensure accurate and timely reporting standards are maintained throughout each project.? Review the work of junior design staff and complete quality control review for internal technical submissions.?
