This role needs to be a very reliable and dependable person since they are traveling on their own and are working independently. They will be a part of creating this travel tech program for the team. They will also create documentation when they are not traveling. Must have experience with Cisco switches.oMust know how to view configuration and other various CLI commands for Cisco IOS or IOS-NX switches.oShould be comfortable with taking an existing Cisco switch configuration and using that to configure a Meraki switch from Meraki dashboard. oFamiliar with VLANs and SVIs (Switch virtual interface). Should have knowledge and experience with Cisco/Meraki wireless. oLocal mode vs Flex Connect mode for wireless APs. oFamiliar with CAPWAP protocol. oFamiliar with POE standards for WAPs (Access Points). Experience and knowledge of network cabling to include:oCAT5/CAT6/CAT6E ethernet cables.oSingle mode and multimode fibers. -Fiber connector types: LC, ST, SC -How to troubleshoot layer 1 and light level issues in the field.oExperience with SFP and QSFP transceivers. oConsole serial cables and standards. -Straight-through vs crossover -Baud rate, stop bits, etc.Experience and understanding of power sources for network equipment.oExperience with rack UPS and PDUs. oKnowledge of NEMA 5-15, NEMA 5-20, and NEMA L6-30 twist-lock. Understanding and experience with network troubleshooting:oPing, TracerouteoLayer 1 to layer 3 issues.oAble to view and validate from MAC Address table.oAble to view and validate from ARP table. oAble to view and validate routing table. oKnowledge and experience troubleshooting DHCP issues.
