Develop policies, procedures and supporting data related to demonstrating compliance with applicable North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards and requirements. ? Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for applicable standards during compliance audits. ? More the interim and annual income tax accounting process to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Responsibilities include preparing, reviewing, and documenting supporting calculations and income tax accounting positions as well as executing internal control reviews.- Leading the income tax compliance function to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing Federal and state income tax calculations, income tax returns, extensions and estimated tax payments, as well as researching and documenting income tax positions. Responsibilities also include responding to notices from taxing authorities.- Supporting the regulatory filing and forecasting process to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing tax related details supporting rate case filings and projected income tax obligations as well as scenario modeling.- Independently researching and concluding on various complex tax issues to determine the appropriate tax treatment and related reporting. Key responsibilities include physical substation and protection/control system design, project budgeting and scheduling, coordination with interdisciplinary teams, and equipment specification. The Substation Engineer will perform calculations, prepare scopes, and ensure effective communication with clients and team members. Additionally, expertise in creating physical layouts of substations and direct experience working with utilities companies are essential for this role.
