A large Material Handling Company is looking for a Controls Retrofit Engineer. This person will be responsible for the extension, modification, modernization, and consultation of the company's... equipment. Lots of their existing equipment is reaching 10-15 years old and is becoming obsolete. This person will need to remove, update, or replace old equipment, then integrate the new equipment with the entire automation system. This person will also be responsible for updating/creating their own Electrical/Mechanical drawings as well as ordering parts and inventorying them as they arrive. Examples of equipment this person will be working with include bar code scanners, HMIs, controllers, and Variable frequency drives.?Some minor Project Management responsibilities will be involved in the role as this person will need to track document and track the cost of their projects. Most of this work will be done at a live site, so it must be completed quickly and efficiently. This role will require about 30-50% travel to customer sites (occasionally over weekends).Salary Ranges from 100,000 to 125,000 and is based on experience.
