Staying informed about emerging firewall technologies, evaluating new features, and providing recommendations to IT management. Performing firewall hardware break/fix replacements and upgrades as needed. Monitoring Service Desk incident and request tickets, taking ownership of or delegating firewall issues to appropriate personnel. Participating as an active member of the Technical Review Board and Change Advisory Board for system change management. Initiating effective communication with all Information Technology areas to ensure information is disseminated effectively for planning, decision-making, and other management needs. Maintaining clear communication and effective relations with all health system departments, users, and user groups.
