Job Description
A Fortune 500 client is looking for an IT Project Manager to join their team. He/she will be supporting a large-scale (hardware and software) Point-of-Sale Deployment for 700 accounts in North America (3000+ registers), as well as other projects related to Mobilization and Field Network Infrastructure (routers, switches, circuits, firewalls, etc). This will involve leading efforts in outlining project plans and timelines, milestone tracking, status reports, risk remediations, vendor management, stakeholder engagement, documentation, budget monitoring, resourcing, etc. to ensure that projects are delivered successfully, on-time, and producing results. Will be involved in all phases of the project life cycle; from further defining pre-deliverables, execution and deployment plans, integration management, technical documentation, support hand-off, continuous improvement, to final project review, etc. Should be extremely comfortable with communicating with all levels of the organization; executives, technical teams, the business, field users, stakeholders, vendors, etc.
* Updating standard project plans as needed and based on timeline, monitoring project critical path and risk
* Assessing project risk and escalating to client/leadership, etc. and mitigating as needed
* Participate in the project team assembly and manage the activities of a cross-functional project team to insure on-time execution of all implementation activities
* Lead project team members and field required to deliver scope - manage without formal authority, hold team accountable to checklists, tasks, etc.
* Reviews and maintains documents and tools to ensure consistency with master plans
* Monitors any construction or infrastructure activities to ensure budget compliance and assess risk
* Coordination of project close-out activities
* Maintains any department administrative procedures and reports as requested
* Assists the leadership team in preparation of materials and content for various senior level meetings and presentations
* Ability to manage multiple projects, with multiple timelines.
* Participate in technical and functional training classes as necessary or required
* Complete product documentation of a new or proposed system, front line training guides, and support knowledge articles

Required Skills & Experience
Desired Skills
4+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager, managing large-scale deployments for Field Network Infrastructure and Point-of-Sale Solutions
Experience managing project components related to Field Network Infrastructure; LAN/WAN, circuits, firewalls, routers, switches, etc.
Experience managing various POS implementations, upgrades, refreshes, etc. both from a hardware and software perspective (i.e. Oracle Micros Simphony)
Experience with all phases of project innovation, monitoring, quality assurance, etc.; plans, roadmaps, processes, risks, resourcing, support hand-off, etc.
Extensive experience with 3rd party vendor mgmt. (hardware procurement, integration tasks, etc.) and coordinating between all levels of the organization
Experience with a variety of PM tools (i.e. MS Project, SmartSheet, ServiceNow, Visio) and the ability to quickly adapt to new techniques/environments
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience deploying a variety of POS Solutions
Experience in the Retail, Hospitality, Food and Beverage, etc. industry
