Remote Electrical & Instrumentation Designer

Insight Global is seeking an I&E Designer to join a large EPC client. In this role you will perform assignments associated with designing instrument and electrical equipment, components, structures,... More or systems. In this fully remote role, you will produce drawings from redlines received from designers and engineers. You will use 3D computer aided design software to create layouts of instrument systems, devices and components and create fabrication and assembly drawings. In this role, responsibilities will include, but not limited to:Preparing detailed drawings of parts and assemblies from layouts, designs and working drawings including necessary projections, sectional views, and standard specifications.Interpret verbal or written direction to initiate a preliminary design.Perform sizing and electrical load calculations such as cable sizing, conduit sizing, voltage drop, and cable tray using charts and tables, as required to complete work assignments.Develop or assist in the development of control circuits for instrument components and motors.Prepare parts lists, procurement lists, bills of material (BOM) and specifications when drawings are complete. Sr. Process Piping Designer (REMOTE)

More Process Mechanical team, you will work on projects related to municipal water and wastewater treatment plants, including but not limited to major treatment plant expansions, regional water quality studies, and critical water reuse projects that will create sustainable and resilient water supplies for the world. This person will be responsible for a variety of project elements, including expert level design work related to complex piping systems, large pipe layouts, and water processes. This person will also provide a strong mentorship component to the team, providing guidance to overall design initiatives and goals. To integrate into the team efficiently, this person will need a strong background in Revit. This person will need a strong understanding of BIM as it relates to process mechanical design for piping, valves and equipment. Strong piping design skills, including an understanding of spacing, pipe racks, a variety of piping materials, and clash free designs will be required. This role will be a 6 month contract-to-hire model, with the primary goal being a permanent conversion.
