This person... will be ensuring program engineering needs are met by leading the design, analysis, and implementation of GNC algorithms and related software, and by planning and executing the integration of components into complete flight systems. The Principal GNC Engineer tackles broad, complex technical challenges, develops new GNC and software technologies, and drives innovative control solutions from concept through deployment for novel rotorcraft platforms. This role encompasses a multi-disciplinary background to include GNC (60%), Software (25%), flight testing (5%), and other projects (10%). This role helps lead development of technical proposals and project estimates, drives technical and engineering conflicts to resolution and ensures the engineering needs of their assigned product development projects are met. As an expert in the field, one uses professional concepts in developing resolution to critical issues and broad design matters.
