A mortgage company is looking for a Post-Close Underwriter in a mortgage company plays a critical role in ensuring that loans remain compliant and accurate after they have funded. This position is... part of the quality control and risk management process that occurs after closing but before the loan is sold to investors or placed into servicing. Here?s what the role typically involves:Asses all key data points within the Audit Deficiency report provided by the Investor. Communicate effectively with internal teams (underwriting, processing, compliance, etc) and eternal clients or investors to resolve issues. Propose Alternative Solutions: Negotiate alternative resolutions with investors, such as indemnification agreements.Corrective Measures: Prescribe and implement corrective actions for identified defects.
