The ideal candidate will be high energy and able to adapt in a dynamic environment and will work well as a team.The Commercial Building Maintenance Engineer is required to support all functions of building operations, for a company owned office portfolio in Vienna, VA, including HVAC, light plumbing and electrical repairs, contractor supervision, and operating efficiencies. The ability to multi-task, move quickly from work order to work order and thrive in a team environment is critical.Essential Job Functions:? Responsible for ensuring the cost effective, environmentally sound, and sustainable design and maintenance of engineering services in the building? Maintain and have excellent understanding of all equipment including HVAC, lighting, electrical distribution, water supply, sanitation, fire protection, safety systems, and building structures? Monitor building systems and processes? Keep work areas and maintenance shop clean and accident free? Adhere to and enforce all safety regulations? Conduct regular inspections, report findings, and make recommendations? Operate electrical and mechanical equipment? Respond to tenants' needs as quickly as possible? Interact with vendors? Perform minor maintenance such as painting, carpentry, light electrical and plumbing? Be available for "On Call" scheduling, and afterhours emergencies?
