The Transmission Project Engineer is responsible for managing the engineering and design of assigned high-voltage transmission projects from early-stage development through construction support and... This role serves as the technical lead for transmission infrastructure projects, including FERC Order 1000 competitive transmission proposals, generation interconnection projects, and early-stage development initiatives. The engineer partners closely with project managers, development teams, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable standards and specifications. This description aligns with internal NextEra transmission engineering responsibilities. Our client, a global technology company, is building out the design and engineering function supporting their hyperscale data center program. This role sits inside the Design & Engineering group and... More supports the team of program managers driving design delivery from concept through issued-for-construction.This is a hybrid seat. Roughly two thirds of the job is program coordination across design packages and the partners who produce them. The other third is standing up the reporting and operating rhythm for a team that is growing fast and does not yet have that infrastructure in place.The team is remote and distributed. There is no onsite requirement.
