This role will work as a part of the Electronic Sensors department which is responsible for the design, building, and testing, of any electronic widget that will be launched into space. We are looking to add a dynamic, creative, and skilled Electrical Engineer to work alongside rocket scientist, aerospace engineers, robotic professionals, and electrical technicians to complete the entire product lifecycle of flight hardware from concept to production. This hardware will perform under stringent aero and space environmental conditions. This work involves analyzing, designing, simulating, fabricating, testing, and conducting performance validation and verification of electronic instrumentation systems and circuit boards. These instruments will be put on a piece of hardware, launched into space, and used to capture any type of data for a multitude of space missions. Project include Satellite communication instruments to discover environment destruction, Autonomous Robotic Arms that repair the International Space Station, Interplanetary discovery vehicles to further human exploration, MARS rovers, OZONE atmospheric measurement instruments, RF communication devices for astronauts? communication, etc.. Insight Global is hiring four Material Handlers to support an aerospace manufacturing customer in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this role, you will serve as a critical link between the stockroom... (inventory) and the production floor, ensuring a steady and accurate flow of materials to keep production running efficiently.Day-to-day responsibilities include kitting materials from the stockroom and delivering them to assigned production lines, as well as retrieving completed assemblies and transporting finished goods to the appropriate downstream areas. Each Material Handler will be dedicated to supporting one of four commercial aviation product lines, playing a key role early in the product lifecycle?before components become finished goods.The ideal candidate thrives in a Lean manufacturing environment, is self-driven and proactive, and takes ownership of their work. Success in this role requires someone who not only executes with accuracy and urgency, but also thinks creatively about improving processes, material flow, and efficiency.Schedule:?6am-3pm schedule (2 open)?7am ? 4pm schedule (2 open)Essential Functions: ? Deliver raw materials, parts, and consumables (fasteners, packaging) to workstations in a just-in-time manner to maintain uninterrupted workflow. ? Support and sustain efficient production flow within assigned work cells, often configured in U-shaped layouts, ensuring technicians and assemblers remain focused on value added assembly tasks.? Remove finished goods and empty containers from workstations and transport them to designated areas to maintain organized and efficient workspaces. ?
