Position involves estimating structural steel, process equipment installation, process piping and boilermaker work on $1MM-$50MM industrial plant projects. The senior estimator works as team leader... or team member as the situation requires. Travel to attend site visits, design reviews, contract negotiations, etc. Perform quantity takeoff of structural steel, process equipment, process piping and process ductwork, etc. Develop construction methods and equipment utilization plan. Obtain vendor and subcontractor quotes on the estimate. Complete all labor, material, equipment, and subcontract pricing. Complete preliminary pricing of indirect costs. Prepare proposal schedules or coordinate proposal schedule with Project Controls Dept. Prepare written execution plans and technical clarifications. Work with Proposal Coordinator to compile all required bid submittal information. Periodically, prepare field change order estimates based on initial "Issued for Construction" drawings. Periodically, assist project manager with subcontract/vendor negotiations.
