Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Camp Cook to support a mining and mineral exploration company at their Yukon camp site on a 6 month contract. This is a fly in/out position, 2 weeks on with 2 weeks off. The shift is 12 hours per day, 7 days per week while at site. You will be responsible for preparing and serving meals for the onsite crew at the remote Yukon camp. This role is essential to camp morale, health, and operational continuity. Two cooks share the rotation, alternating 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, and serve three meals per day plus snacks for the onsite camp crew.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, food storage, and food safety standards.
• Manage camp food inventory and submit supply/restock requests in a timely manner.
• Accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences where practical.
• Support general camp housekeeping and sanitation as needed.
• Coordinate with Camp Maintenance on kitchen equipment upkeep.

Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a cook in a camp, institutional, or commercial kitchen setting.
• Experience working in remote or camp-based environments.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, 7 days/week for 2-week rotations.
• Strong food safety and sanitation awareness.
• Reliable, self-directed, and comfortable in an isolated work environment.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Prior mining, drilling, or oil & gas camp cook experience.
• Food Safe / food handler certification.
• Experience managing food inventory and ordering in a remote setting.
• First Aid certification.
