Job Description
We are seeking an Infrastructure Technician to support large-scale data center buildouts for a fiber optics provider. This is a hands-on role focused on physical infrastructure installation within data center environments.
Day-to-day responsibilities include building and installing telecom and network infrastructure such as racks, cabinets, and cable pathways, as well as supporting general construction-related activities inside data halls. Technicians will perform rack installation (including drilling and anchoring), mount equipment and overhead pathways (ladder rack, J-hooks, cable tray), and assist with cable routing and organization.
This role also supports grounding and bonding activities (bus bars, ground bars) and requires basic electrical and low-voltage awareness. Technicians will work from prints, use tape measurements, levels, and ensure all installations meet layout specifications and safety standards.

Required Skills & Experience
1–3+ years experience in data center, construction, cabling, or infrastructure installation
Experience with rack installation / rack & stack / cabinet mounting
Ability to read a tape measure and basic construction/technical prints
Experience using hand and power tools (drilling into concrete, mounting hardware, etc.)
Exposure to pathway installation (ladder rack, cable tray, J-hooks, overhead supports)
Ability to work on feet all day, lift 35+ lbs
Strong attention to detail with ability to follow layouts and install to spec
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
*Experience with OSP/ISP or fiber environments
*Familiarity with structured cabling (fiber or copper)
*Experience working with levels, layout alignment, and precision installs
*Experience with telecom room / MDF-IDF buildouts
