Job Description
The Engineer I will provide hands‑on engineering and quality inspection support within Eaton’s Waukesha Lincoln manufacturing facility, focusing on final product testing, incoming material inspections, and verification of electrical equipment prior to shipment. This role operates in a fast‑paced, industrial manufacturing environment and works closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure products meet Eaton’s technical, safety, and documentation standards.
The position is 100% onsite and aligned to afternoon/evening production shifts, supporting inspection and release activities during critical manufacturing hours. The Engineer I will apply foundational engineering knowledge, technical literacy, and attention to detail to review assemblies, interpret drawings and schematics, document inspection results, and assist with troubleshooting quality issues. This role is well suited for an early‑career engineer or technically strong candidate seeking hands‑on exposure to power equipment manufacturing and quality processes.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) preferred
• Candidates with a High School Diploma or Associate’s Degree will be considered if they possess strong relevant technical and inspection experience
• 1–3 years of experience in an engineering, quality, manufacturing, or technical inspection role
• Prior experience performing quality inspections, including final product testing and/or incoming raw material inspections
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics
Experience inspecting manufactured components such as welds, paint finishes, and assembled electrical or mechanical components against drawings and bills of material
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Familiarity with three‑phase electrical transformers or similar power distribution equipment
• Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes for electrical equipment
• Experience supporting quality or engineering activities in a heavy industrial or power equipment environment
• Proficiency with basic engineering tools and software (e.g., CAD viewers, document control systems, Microsoft Office)
• Internship or co‑op experience in engineering, manufacturing, or quality
Experience with inspection documentation, scanning, and electronic file management
