Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Energy Manager to lead our strategic energy initiatives and drive sustainable change across our manufacturing operations. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of promoting energy efficiency, overseeing our ISO 50001 Energy Management System and leading key projects that optimize our energy performance, ensuring sustainability, cost-efficiency and compliance.

The Energy Manager will partner with operations, maintenance, procurement and engineering to identify and implement strategies that drive measurable energy and cost savings. Leading energy teams across facilities and engaging into a continuous improvement culture company, this role has a pivotal role to ensure that energy efficiency is embedded in day-to-day operations, capital investments and long-term sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead ISO 50001 compliance and all aspects of the Energy Management System (EnMS).
- Develop and maintain EnPIs, baselines, and improvement targets.
- Monitor and analyze energy metrics to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities.
- Oversee integration of energy monitoring software and dashboards.
- Coordinate and review site-wide energy audits for industrial systems (e.g., heating, compressed air, ventilation, pumps, fans).
- Create energy management strategies based on audits, data trends, and organizational objectives.
- Support budgeting for energy costs and implement M&V strategies to validate savings.
- Partner with procurement on energy supplier contract negotiations.
- Manage and develop a multidisciplinary energy team.
- Engage external partners (suppliers, consultants, contractors) to enhance energy performance.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, energy engineering or related field.
- Certified Energy Manager certification.
-7 years’ experience working on energy projects (industrial environment preferred)
- 3+ years' experience leading a team
- Experience in administering ISO 50001 Energy Management system.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical industrial systems, such as: Thermal Processes, Compressed Air, Dust Collection, Air Make-up units, Pumps and Fans.
- Ability to understand/read engineering drawings.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Master's Degree in Engineering or related field.
- 7–10 years’ experience (heavy industrial preferred)
- Strong energy data analytics and audit skills
- Prior experience in Continuous Improvement and/or Six Sigma projects.
- Experience with steel mill operations and maintenance.
