Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Design Engineer to support one of our largest federal clients in Wisconsin. The Sr Engineer designs functional, reliable, and cost-effective, heavy-duty vehicle components. Perform engineering analysis and design or re-design, and development of components into existing and new vehicles. Provide integration and execution support for vehicle and component design. Responsibilities include:
• Perform engineering tasks and calculations, support senior engineers, and enforce standards for designs and drawings.
• Manage projects or portions of projects, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety, and reliability requirements.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and customers; mentor entry-level engineers, designers, and technicians.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, proposals, layouts, specifications, and historical records for projects.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues, optimize designs using analytical methods, select components/materials, and provide production support.

Required Skills & Experience
• Mechanical engineering degree
• 3 plus yrs experience
• CAD and some design management experience
• Preferred Windchill, Creo, and Catia experience
• Automotive experience
