Job Description
• Manage day-to-day HR operations, including employee records, state agency requests, unemployment inquiries, child support documentation, and leave administration (paid and unpaid).
• Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding employment practices, benefits, policies, and HR-related questions.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and service-oriented workplace culture.
• Provide guidance and support to management on complex and sensitive employee matters, including reasonable accommodations, investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
• Lead and conduct employee investigations and manage disciplinary meetings and termination processes.
• Administer all employee benefit programs, including annual renewals, vendor coordination, plan design support, pricing recommendations, open enrollment, new hire benefits, and compliance reporting.
• Manage and maintain the HRIS system to ensure compliance, data integrity, and effective support for employees and managers.
• Provide backup support for payroll and recruiting functions, including multi-state payroll familiarity and full-cycle recruiting as needed.
• Coordinate company events such as picnics, lunches, and monthly meetings.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple states; review and recommend updates to policies and procedures.
• Assist with additional HR department duties as needed, including potential involvement in Safety and Environmental programs.

Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum of 7 years of human resource management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while working collaboratively.
• Familiarity with multi-state payroll administration and employment laws.
• Professional, service-oriented approach when working with employees, leaders, and external partners.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated empathy and ability to meet employees where they are while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• Prior experience with ADP HRIS or a similar HRIS platform preferred.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
