Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead complex electrical build and system integration projects in Madison, WI, serving as the primary technical interface for customers. This role is approximately 40% external‑facing and includes customer and vendor discussions, RFIs, and cross‑functional coordination, acting as a subject matter expert and liaison across engineering, production, and project management. You will drive system‑level integration for medium‑ and low‑voltage architectures involving batteries, fire and environmental protection systems, relay and control panels, switchgear, and related subsystems, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. Responsibilities span feasibility through production, including delivery of electrical drawings and EBOMs, resolving integration issues during design, build, and test, supporting infrastructure initiatives, and providing technical leadership to production. The role also includes mentoring engineers, contributing to design reviews, and participating in regular project and stakeholder meetings. Pay Rate $35-40/hr.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in electrical build, system integration, or related roles
• 1+ years of experience leading complex electrical projects independently
• Solid knowledge of medium- and low-voltage power systems and integration principles
• Experience crafting and managing electrical BOMs
• Strong communication abilities for engaging with customers, vendors, and internal teams
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite, preferred

• Familiarity with relevant electrical codes and standards
• A collaborative approach with the ability to influence through technical expertise
