Job Description

An employer is looking for a highly skilled maintenance engineer to join one of our largest national general contractor clients for a position in Milwaukee, WI. In this role youll be driving and servicing various commercial properties around the Milwaukee suburbs. In this role youll be responsible for executing and completing preventative maintenance, demand repairs, general repairs and adjustments to building systems, equipment and fixtures as required to the satisfaction of tenant and building owners. You also will be communicating directly with tenants and owners regarding repairs.

Responsibilities:
Supervise subcontractors and/or self-perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment, mechanical, electrical, and building equipment.
Assist with planning of special projects, annual budget preparation and training of other team members.
Assist Maintenance Technicians and Associates with complex mechanical and controls related work, may require some travel between sites.
Respond to, evaluate, and complete tenant/service requests as ordered.
Maintain mechanical rooms, property grounds and mechanical areas in a neat and clean condition daily.
Monitor and operate Fire/Life Safety equipment as required.

Required Skills & Experience

2+ years of experience in the operation of commercial buildings and equipment.
High School Degree or equivalent.
Two-year technical degree or equivalent.
Participate in on-call, after-hours and weekend rotation.
Proficient computer skills.
Excellent verbal communication skills and a helpful attitude when interacting with building occupants.
Valid driver's license with a clear driving record, basic knowledge of computer applications and ability to lift 100 lbs.
Ability to work from a ladder, work overhead, smell smoke and other chemicals and be able to work outside in a variety of weather conditions.
Prior experience providing maintenance on more complex machines or healthcare focused machines will help you stand out in this role

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Universal CFC, SMA, SMT, LEED certification, others as applicable preferred.
Microsoft 365 Software experience.
Experience in Healthcare facilities.
