Job Description

Day to day:
Our client is looking for a SOC Manager to manage, plan, and coordinate the activities of the supervisors engaged in the preparation, installation, and production of shipyard interiors by performing the following duties:
- Coordinates and assists supervisors assigned to installation of HVAC, Insulation and Joiner products and the development of manning requirements needed to maintain schedule and budget.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods and equipment performance to increase efficiency and safety.
- Reads specifications, such as blueprints and data, to determine installation requirements.
- Consults with other trades such as electrical and Pipe to coordinate installation activities.
Is accountable for installation performance, quality and increasing efficiencies through process improvement efforts.

Required Skills & Experience

Must haves:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of experience in shipbuilding or a related field.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards (must have an OSHA 10).
- Comfortable working in a shipyard environment.
