Job Description

This person is going to be sitting on the piping team and creating tests to be run on the ship to check efficiency and functionality of the piping.

* Supporting the hydrostatic and flushing system of the vessel (making sure the pumps work)

* Producing test procedures to make sure ship will function properly.

* Submitting the test procedures to the Navy to get feedback on whether it has been approved to carry out.

* If approved, execute when projects come to completion (they will run these tests once the ships are done being built)

* Testing systems in the ship (EX: running pumps to make sure they are work)

* Maintenance of test procedures

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in engineering PLUS 3+ yrs of experience/related fields OR associates PLUS 5+ yrs of experience

- Experience with fluid systems (ideally from a maritime background)

o Testing for hydrostatic and flushing

o Fluid dynamics

- Solid writing skills to be able to create technical documents.

- Quality control background- Experience with performing and developing test procedures from any industry.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Experience using AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, PDF Viewer, Pipe flow

- Ship building or marine background
