Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a National Account Manager for a remote opportunity for one of their retail clients. This is a remote role but must be based out of the Minneapolis, MN area. This resource will be managing mass retail accounts to achieve profitable sales of the company’s products. Position includes selling client product lines to partner accounts as well as establishing new business. You will work with product management, marketing, and finance to support customer accounts and resolve any customer issues that may arise. This role requires someone who has proven track and success record of building strong customer relationships to grow business and profits. This position will require someone to be focused heavily on new ideas to grow sales and profits, having the ability to pull reports, data and provide strategies and direction for the future growth. You’ll be taking ownership from sales start to finish and build out sales road maps.

This is NOT a sit on an account and maintain business, this position needs someone eager and motivated to continue to grow sales.

Business Development:
• Identify incremental opportunities for growth within current accounts and develop business with new ones.
• Acquire an in-depth knowledge of the competitive landscape and partner with the Product teams to develop and manage product lines to realize opportunities.
• Develop business cases that allow for profitable business expansion.
• Prioritize sales opportunities that will drive growth and profitability for both the Company and our customers.
• Provide appropriate sales planning and coordination by working with Marketing and Product Development to create comprehensive sales plans and product/category launches.
• Lead customer meetings and conferences as needed.
• Develop new customer business plans and specific recommendations at a category level.
Work with Customer Service to onboard new accounts as needed.

Account Management:
• Develop an account strategy and sales action plan for long-term profitable growth around all account responsibilities.
• Develop, grow, and maintain relationships with buyers, replenishment teams, the Divisional Merchandise Manager, and other key contacts.
• Understand customer’s strategic priorities and challenges, then drive alignment between key objectives and the Company.
• Work closely with the Demand Planning Team to ensure alignment on monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts.
• Manage Rep Groups to achieve sales goals and to identify new and incremental opportunities.
• Maintain regular, proactive communications with customers to ensure timely resolution of plans, trends, concerns, and issues.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of the overall assortment carried by customers.
• Work closely with Product Development Teams, lead/own the annual line review process, and develop recommendations regarding price/spec/platform.
• Collaborate with Marketing to implement strategies and tactics that assist customers in effectively and creatively winning with consumers through merchandising, promotions, packaging, social, and digital campaigns.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
5+ years of corporate sales, account management, or other related sales experience
Recent and relevant B2B sales experience at Target
Proven sales success and exceeding sales targets and metrics with Target
Entrepreneurial mindset – willing and able to create sales strategies, create new ideas to grow business and sales
Utilize data, data analytics to create sales strategies + revenue
Replenishment experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Extensive experience working with retailor portals
$50M or more overall sales budget experience
Sporting Goods retail experience
PowerPoint skills or other presentation software experience
Retail Link
