Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a dynamic sales professional to join a large transportation and logistics client as a remote, Business Development Director. This individual will be selling logistics and supply chain services, managed transportation services, warehousing solutions, and Port Dray services to mid/large size clients in major port cities across the United States. We are looking for someone eager to compete and hunt for new business capture. The Business Development Director will be responsible for developing and executing action plans that will lead to successfully closing new deals. They are going to be coordinating all information, activities & internal resources to support moving an opportunity through the sales process.

Required Skills & Experience

Extensive business development/external sales experience with mid/large size customers

-Transportation and logistics industry experience

-Experience identifying and qualifying new business opportunities through prospecting and lead generation

-Proven sales experience of around $5M+/year generated

-Experience selling "port dray" or drayage services

-Excellent negotiation and overall communication skills

-Clear hunter sales mentality rather than just a "farmer" or relationship management experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Experience selling managed transportation services and/or supply chain services

-Local to a major port city within the US
