Job Description

Our Design/Build client is a growing land development and design-build company and strives to celebrate the uniqueness of each client and provide personalized value and beauty to each home they build. They lends expertise in real estate, land entitlement, and custom home design at multiple levels, to provide end-to-end solutions for any client. The company hosts a talented team of licensed architects, interior designers, and seasoned construction managers who are unified in creating quality, classically designed homes.
Qualified candidates for this position should have prior experience in the Interior Design profession that is heavily focused on direct client management, while coordinating with internal departments including sales, architecture, and construction. The position requires the ability to be self-sufficient while managing multiple clients and client budgets in various stages of the design and construction process. This position offers the possibility for advancement with the potential to manage the Interior Design Department, and offers the ability to complete certification hours. This Interior Design position is unique in the way that there is very structured process and procedure followed by a comprehensive timeline and process surrounding the clients budget expectations, in order to advance forward to further phases in the home building process. A qualified candidate would not only have a fantastic design eye, but would be very confident in their ability to communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and the rest of the internal team to ensure a positive brand experience for any clientele of the company.

Exceptional Client Experience - Guide clients through the 2nd Phase of the design process, managing time / client expectations, budgets and providing valuable design planning and resources
Professionally manage up to 20 clients at various stages of the design build process and communicate effectively about change orders, requests, budget, and overall health of the design/build process while in flight
Manage time efficiently, seek feedback when needed, and appropriately prioritize details to produce the appropriate documents within a fluid design process
Ability to work from a live document (Google Sheets, Excel, Spec Book)
Should be able to understand architectural drawings, but will not need to draft or author any architectural documentation independently

Required Skills & Experience

A minimum of 3 years of proven successful client management experience
5-7 years of Interior Design Experience
Knowledge of 3D modeling software at an intermediate level (Chief Architect, Revit, AutoCAD)
Knowledge of products and materials used in residential design and their level of quality and price point
Skilled in listening, understanding, and communicating using multiple streams of information
Skilled in managing time effectively and efficiently within a fluid design process
Skilled in spatial visualization
Skilled at reading architectural plans and construction documents
Skilled in effective and efficient organization and documentation of projects, clients, time, and project changes

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Four-year degree in Interior Design or Architecture is preferred
