Job Description

Product Sales The Sales Manager will be responsible for new and factory refurbished equipment sales and will be expected to work closely with a peer aftermarket sales representative to provide high customer satisfaction to clients.

Training & Development The Sales Manager is expected to continuously update their job knowledge (for both products and sales/marketing strategies and skills) by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; networking; and participating in professional organizations.

Reporting The Sales Manager prepares reports as assigned relative to activity, lost orders, closings, follow-up, and performance against budget. These reports may also be on special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity, including recommendations for product, service, pricing changes and evaluation of competitive developments.

Additional duties of a Sales Manager include:

Achieve sales targets through strategic planning, prospecting, and direct customer engagement.
Develop and maintain customer relationships, including key accounts, through regular follow-ups and responsive communication.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities by targeting prospects, following up on leads, and expanding the customer base.
Present and promote products and services, including preparing quotes, proposals, and promotional materials.
Understand customer needs and coordinate service, support, and issue resolution to ensure satisfaction.
Represent the company professionally at all times, including at events, conferences, and promotional opportunities.
Uphold company values and contribute to brand reputation through commitment, innovation, and positive interactions.

Required Skills & Experience

310 years sales experience
o If less years of sales experience, would prefer additional technical or hands-on knowledge of industrial equipment
Computer literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Some technical or mechanical aptitude (comfortable working with hands)
Strong will to win - go getter personality
Understands value propositions and can adapt to sales processes
Highly organized

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Background in automation or fluid power industry
Background with industrial air compressor sales
Former athlete
Bachelor's degree
o Engineering or engineering technology preferred
