Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Bridge Engineer. The primary responsibilities include planning, directing and monitoring all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium to large sized bridge design and/or inspection projects with a high degree of technical complexity, involving a diverse project staff. Is involved with the production and coordination of several projects concurrently. Establishes client relations and is involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings. Conducts schematic, design development and contract document work sessions in conjunction with Project Managers, appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines. Ensures project deliverables and supporting documentation are complete, understandable, conform to applicable and reasonable standards relative to their intended purpose, including client requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree
A minimum of 10 years bridge design experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Proven hands-on experience in all aspects of bridge design projects
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, GEOPAK, AutoCAD and MicroStation
Experience using structural analysis programs and bridge design software
Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills and ability to work with various teams
Project management skills desirable
Strong communication skills and willing to work in a team environment
Must be comfortable being viewed as a technical expert in engineering analysis and design and have proven background of technical leadership on these types of projects
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

BS/MS in Structural Engineering or closely related field.

15+ years project and client management experience with significant project experience and client contacts.

NBIS Certification Required and NCTI & SPRAT certifications and NHI Course 130078 preferred.

Demonstrated business development and strategic planning skills.

Ability to interact with various design teams, including excellent organizational, project management and communication both written and verbal.

Good communication, leadership, planning and mentoring skills.

MS Office experience
