Job Description
The Risk Management Analyst will perform difficult technical work preparing and analyzing department programs, activities and operations, gathering and analyzing data to review and refine plans and supporting managers and staff in the research, analysis, implementation and monitoring of programs and/or activities. Work will include:
• Reviewing and responding to Public Disclosure Requests;
• Coordinating the Authority's cyber liability insurance program;
• Managing related agency in coordination with the Risk Manager;
• Conducting inquiries into tort claims;
• Overseeing small projects; and
• Assisting the Risk Manager in the development and implementation of department goals and work plans.

Required Skills & Experience
• Experience and knowledge of the principles of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and risk transfer as they relate to public entity exposures.
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state public records laws and records retention requirements; property and casualty insurance laws, programs and coverages; risk management and loss control programs and practices; public entity tort liability, claims, and contract laws; and the principles of project management.
• Associate's Degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business, or a closely related field; Bachelor's Degree preferred AND One to three years of experience in public entity risk management, insurance, tort claims, and/or public disclosure OR an equivalent combination of experience and education that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of this
• Understands technical aspects of the position and continuously builds knowledge, keeping up-to-date on the substantive and procedural aspects of the position.
o Experience with cyber incident response and cyber liability insurance;
o Experience reviewing insurance policies, policy applications, and loss control data;
o Experience coordinating incident response, tort, and insurance claims.
• Applies effective written and verbal communication techniques to convey clear and timely messages to internal and external stakeholders; communicates clearly and effectively via multiple methods.
o Prepares clear and concise reports.
o Presents proposals and recommendations clearly, logically and persuasively.
o Interprets and explains complex data analyses and research findings for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and database software.
