Job Description

A well known aerospace company is looking for an Electrical Systems Design Engineer 3 to join their team! A successful candidate in the role will work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Additionally you will analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications. Responsibilities include but are not limited to testing and validation to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Required Skills & Experience

- At least 2 years of general LabVIEW programming experience
- Experience with Queued Message Handler (QMH)
- Prior experience with interfacing between multiple data acquisition system hardware using LabVIEW
- Familiarity with LabVIEW Real-Time and FPGA
- Experience with data streaming protocols (TCP/UDP, RTP, custom protocols) and basic network troubleshooting.
- Proven ability to work with and optimize legacy software and obsolete hardware.
- Experience writing software and hardware documentation.
- Diligent adherence to software engineering best practices.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting hardware at the system and component level
- Electromechanical experience including but not limited to motion control, encoders, servomotors.
- Understanding of time synchronization concepts (PTP/NTP) and timestamping best practices
