Job Description
An employer in the Spokane Washington area is looking for a Hardware Engineer II. This person will be responsible for the creation and execution of electrical test plans. This includes writing test plans based on product documentation and functional specifications, using software test tools and test automation, performing tests, documenting test results, and validating product defects. The engineer will execute validation plans, perform SI/PI analysis, and collaborate across design, layout, and compliance teams to ensure electrical robustness and
performance.

Required Skills & Experience
2+ years in electrical validation or hardware testing
2+ years of experience working on circuit boards
1+ years of experience with FPGA and CPUs
Experience measuring and capturing wave forms
Experience testing and recording logs
Experience using oscilloscope
Familiarity to Linux/Unix
Familiarity and fundamental understanding of Ethernet switching
Familiarity with high-speed protocols and FPGA workflows
Experience with electrical side of optical scope
Experience with any simulation tools used for circuit board
BSEE or equivalent
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Regulatory compliance knowledge (IEEE, PCI-SIG, JEDEC)
Ethernet switching
Intel Xeon platform experience
Experience with VNA, SNA, frequency counter, DMM, BERT, etc.
Scripting skills (Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW)
Experience with optical transceiver validation
Experience with Bugzilla or Jira
Experience with SI/PI simulation tools (HyperLynx, Sigrity)
Regulatory compliance experience
