Job Description

As a UX researcher at a top research lab, you’ll have the opportunity to partner directly with a highly specialized team focused on future AR and VR inputs and interactions. You will have significant freedom to operate with the time, people and space necessary for conceiving, building and launching new input modalities in AR and VR. Research is paramount to this organization’s success - getting new input right requires highly iterative qualitative interaction research as well as quantitative experimental or comparison style research. Candidates should be experienced in both quantitative and qualitative interface research on shipping products. The expectation is that the candidate has a strong experimental background with solid univariate statistical analysis capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with researchers, designers, engineers to identify, define and deliver meaningful novel input and interaction solutions in VR
• Collaboratively and independently develop and execute research roadmaps
• Lead various research studies throughout all the phases of the product development cycle
• May manage research vendors to help augment the work of the research team

Required Skills & Experience

• Experimental research skills: solid ability to demonstrate methods and univariate statistical analysis
• Statistical analysis, must be able to use R with proficiency
• BA/BS in an experimental human behavior related field, such as experimental psychology. Preference for MA or PhD in same area.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Preference for candidates who have worked on shipping product with strong preference for AR/MR/VR products
