Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our client's Legal Department to transform a comprehensive 27-page crisis management policy into clear, accessible language for organization-wide deployment across North America. This urgent project requires translating complex legal and procedural documentation into user-friendly content that cross-functional teams can easily understand and implement.

The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen beyond technical writing skills, as the policy covers diverse crisis scenarios from cyber attacks to quality issues and social media incidents. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on Stanley's organizational preparedness during a critical business period.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2-3 years of technical writing experience
• College degree
• Strong business and environmental background (not just technical focus)
• Experience translating complex documents into plain language
• Ability to work independently on project-based assignments
• Excellent written communication skills
• Understanding of various business crisis scenarios (cyber security, quality issues, social media, etc.)
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines
• Remote work capability with reliable technology setup

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Food and beverage industry experience
• Consumer-focused industry background (retail, e-commerce, consumer goods)
• Experience with large-scale organizational policy documentation
• PowerPoint presentation development skills
• Previous work with legal or compliance documentation
• Crisis management or business continuity knowledge
