Job Description

A priority client of Insight Global is looking to hire a SQL DBA. This individual must have a strong understanding of SQL and DBA architecture, as well as storage, permissions, and deployment to high environments, as these are key area that the client is looking to improve in their current environment. This individual will occasionally have to work with teams in other countries, therefore requiring this individual to sometimes work hours after 5 Pay rate will be between 40-50/hr, depending on experience.

Required Skills & Experience

· 5+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server DBA in complex environments.
· Strong understanding of database backup, restore, and archival (full, differential, transaction log backups, and long-term archival) practices.
· Proven experience supporting application deployments with a focus on database architecture.
· Solid knowledge of Pure Storage administration, including snapshot lifecycle management and performance tuning, or any other snapshot and data deduplication software.
Proficiency with T-SQL, performance monitoring tools (e.g., SQL Profiler, Extended Events), and automation scripts.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

· Familiarity with PowerShell, CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins), and schema management tools (e.g., Redgate, Liquibase).
· Experience with Azure SQL, AWS RDS, or hybrid cloud solutions.
· Working knowledge of regulatory requirements around data retention, security, and audit readiness.
· Certifications:
· Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
· Microsoft Certified: SQL Server Database Administrator
Pure Storage FlashArray or equivalent storage certification
