As a SharePoint Designer, you will partner closely with the Employee Communications and IT teams to refresh Bezos Academy's SharePoint online intranet. You will develop a user-friendly and engaging platform that improves search and enables our geographically dispersed workforce to easily access information, tools, and resources. As this is a temporary position, your work in building sustainable organizational structures, easily adapted visual design templates, and robust documentation will be paramount. As SharePoint online is the primary intranet across our diverse workforce, your experience in building permissions-based site and page structures will be key to ensuring sustained organization. Overall, you are passionate about building engaging, intuitive, and sustainable designs that help our organization communicate, educate, and engage with our rapidly scaling workforce.
You are a highly motivated, independent worker with a proven track record of delivering results. You understand how to gather requirements from cross-functional stakeholders and translate end user needs into visual solutions. You thrive in a start-up environment and take pride in maintaining high standards.
Minimum 5 years' experience in front end web design with a focus on UX/UI
Experience with front end coding (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Proven experience designing in SharePoint Online
Experience with SharePoint integrations utilizing native add-ins, third-party solutions, and/or REST APIs
Experience with SharePoint Permissions & Search
Deep understanding of intuitive visual design principles
Strong project management and communication skills (Will be presenting to Sr. Leadership & Execs)
