Job Description

This CM would be aligned with one of our most critical work groups (AOCS, Airport Operations and Customer Service), primarily working with the Customer Service Agents (CSAs) in our airport lobbies and at the gates, as well as with the back office teams that support them (policy and procedure, training, etc.). The change mgmt work will be a variety of small to large projects, both for run-the-business work as well as integration with Hawaiian Airlines. Much of the change impacting AOCS also impacts other teams at Alaska, so this CSA will spend time working holistically with other CMs on our team to ensure efficient and consistent change across the company. The ideal candidate is someone who understands the unique challenges of customer-facing roles, a quick learner, leads with empathy and listening, and has mid to mid-high (but not too high) energy.

A Change Manager provides people-centric change management support to one or more initiatives, enabling the people who are impacted to successfully navigate and embrace the change. Follows the Alaska change management methodology and produces standard change management deliverables such as change-related assessments, plans, and report-outs, designs multiple ways to engage with audiences, and ensures effective feedback loops and metrics to gauge success. Able to facilitate process-related info gathering and/or discussions and create process maps. Works in partnership with project managers, sponsors, project team members, subject matter experts, communications and learning specialists, and external vendors. Regularly keeps leaders apprised of status, progress, roadblocks, help needed, etc. Able to successfully work both independently and collaboratively.
