Mechanical Engineer in the Data Center Space
Designing and implementing energy-efficient mechanical systems for data centers
Partnering with teams to develop innovative cooling solutions and sustainability initiatives
Creating comprehensive documentation for mechanical designs and operational procedures
Supporting continuous improvement through data analysis and system optimization
Guiding project teams through planning, execution, and commissioning phases
Conceiving, initiating, and leading projects with widespread impact on infrastructure design, innovation, and implementation
Decomposing complex problems into straightforward and actionable solutions
Collaborating with internal teams to understand user requirements and challenges
Working with cross-disciplinary, multicultural, and international teams
Escalating issues as needed and communicating effectively across technical backgrounds
Producing clear documentation such as design specifications, white papers, schematics, and reports
Ensuring compliance with the Global Mechanical Basis of Design (BoD) through regular audits
Driving standardization in data center mechanical designs
Developing strategic solutions that meet quality and budgetary requirements
Translating aspirational goals into well-defined, testable specifications and solutions
Defining project scope and providing technical support during innovation and R&D projects
Collaborating with regional vendors and manufacturers to specify mechanical equipment
Reviewing and approving critical equipment submittals, including vendor witness tests

Required Skills & Experience
Minimum of 6-7 years (more senior the better)
Consulting background (AECOM/design firm as an example) or big tech company
Data Center or Mission Critical
PE
