Job Description

An enterprise retail company is looking to provide temporary support to their Governance, Risk, and Compliance Team in managing the prep work performed by a third-party for data use reviews (DURs) and reporting and tracking escalations to GRC leadership. Experience with managing data governance or privacy work is a strong plus but not required. Specifically looking for someone with exceptional coordination, communication, and task management skills. Below is a high-level overview of the deliverables and activities:

1. Daily - Track status of upcoming DURs and resolve any prioritization/scheduling issues raised by project teams with GRC leadership as appropriate.
2. Daily - Track and ensure third-party is completing pre-DUR tasks with the project teams. Validate all pre-reqs are met.
3. Daily - Email management - Ensure all Data Governance emails are responded to within 1 business day.
4. Weekly - Sync with GRC leadership for reviewing upcoming new Data Uses to determine if they are in scope for DU.
5. Weekly - Support large initiatives in the DUR process via weekly/bi-weekly syncs.
6. Weekly - Review DUR deck prepared by third-party for completeness; Follow up with third-party project team on missing or incomplete components. Depending on volume may need to assist with prep.
7. Weekly - Track and ensure post-DUR action items are logged and send out meeting minutes (DUR to be facilitated by GRC partners).
8. As needed - Interfacing with project managers going through DUR as the first point of escalation to GRC leadership.
9. As needed - Coordination of ad-hoc pre/post DUR planning meetings with stakeholders/SMEs to facilitate resolution of issues blocking projects going to DUR committee.
10. As needed - Document process improvements and future Collibra requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years' experience as a Technology Project Manager, specifically managing data governance or privacy projects.
- Expert level communication and facilitation.
- Experience managing budgets, forecasts, and tracking project spend.
- Experience driving large, highly complex cross-functional teams and initiatives.
- Experience working independently with minimal guidance from program management leadership.
