Job Description

The team is undergoing a broader modernization effort focused on strengthening data systems, improving governance, and transitioning legacy reporting onto more modern cloud‑based solutions. This role will help assess existing documentation and infrastructure, enhance data workflows, support migration efforts, and contribute to building a more scalable, centralized, and flexible data environment. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, and experienced in building solutions from the ground up in evolving technical environments.

Key Responsibilities
• Assess current documentation, data environment, and reporting needs
• Build, enhance, and migrate data pipelines using Python, SQL, and AWS services
• Support on‑prem to cloud migration, including ETL, F3, Redshift, and lakehouse components
• Implement data governance, access controls, and security policies
• Centralize data assets and contribute to long‑term data model evolution
• Collaborate with data engineers and cross‑functional teams on architecture and workflow design
• Evaluate tools such as Microsoft Fabric and provide technical recommendations
• Ensure data quality, pipeline reliability, and performance optimization
• Develop models, visualizations, and documentation supporting business needs
• Provide architectural guidance and maintain operational readiness of delivered assets

Required Skills & Experience

• 4–5+ years AWS Data Engineering experience
• Strong Python development background
• SQL expertise
• ETL pipeline development
• Experience with AWS services (F3, Redshift, ETL services, etc.)
• Transformation and process‑improvement mindset
• Experience collaborating with other data engineers
• On‑prem to cloud migration experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Microsoft Fabric
• Reporting in AWS
• Data governance experience
• Redshift (advanced)
• Workflow documentation & pipeline management experience
