Job Description

A large retail organization is looking to hire an Associate Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engineer in Seattle, WA. This is a hybrid role and will require two days onsite per week in downtown Seattle - as such, only local candidates will be considered at this time. As an Associate SFMC Engineer, you will work alongside more tenured engineers, supporting four business units across the organization. In the associate role, you will be working on sub tasks, before moving onto full story ownership. You will help tackle production issues alongside some of your more senior team mates. You will collaborate with cross functional business teams to develop technical solutions utilizing SFMC tools: Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Content Builder, Audience Builder. In this role, you will have significant opportunity for growth and development; getting hands on experience with Data Development, Custom Development, Campaign Operations, and Platform Support. You will perform data modeling, create and manage automations and data extensions. You will learn to mange existing API integration services (ie troubleshoot payloads, test API calls) and edit modules/templates with HTML and AMPscript. You will creating and segmenting audiences for campaign operations. You will review tickets and assist with platform support: Monitor and resolve failed automations and journeys, Seek to understand system metrics and participate in discussions on how to improve DevOps (security, quality, reliability).

Required Skills & Experience

1-3 years' experience working on marketing platform -- Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).

Strong communication skills and ability to articulate thoughts and ideas to peers.

Experience in supporting the delivery of high-volume email campaigns.

Experience with AMPscript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Cloud pages, etc. for creating journeys, and data extensions.

Experience creating queries and joining tables with SQL; experience writing SQL queries from scratch.

Familiarity with agile software delivery.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience working with one or more Salesforce Marketing Cloud tools such as Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Content Builder, Audience Builder.

Experience with data development and data modeling using SQL.

Experience with custom development; managing existing API integration services.

Experience with campaign operations - creating and segmenting audiences, building email and push journeys.

Experience with platform support.

Background in retail/e-commerce.
