Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Field Service Technician to join their team in Renton, WA. The role involves diagnosing and repairing complex industrial control systems such as PLCs, CNC controllers, field bus networks, and drive systems. It requires interpreting electrical schematics and using multi-meters for circuit diagnostics. The position includes direct coordination with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication of requirements and objectives to senior management. Travel to customer sites is necessary for machine commissioning, preventive maintenance, control upgrades, and emergency service. Additionally, the role includes conducting maintenance and operator training for customers.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience with Siemens PLC and CNC control systems
Strong understanding of industrial automation and control system architecture
Proficiency in HMI development, and drive control interfaces
Experience with motion control, servo drives, and CNC tooling integration
Ability to troubleshoot and modify control programs during commissioning
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Ability to travel up to 30%

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Background in aerospace tooling or high-precision automation
Familiarity with multi-machine system packages and complex equipment integration
