Job Description

Lead ID for hardware development for a research-related product: form & CMF exploration, detail surfaces, cosmetic specifications, packaging design through development with local HW Dev team and Asian supplier (20%)
Support Vision casting with senior leaders with sketches, storyboards, models. (10%)
ID/UX/HF based Target Setting for research (10%)

Required Skills & Experience

Skills

CAD (NX preferred)
Excellent parametric modeling skills and a willingness to learn NX
Ability to work with engineers to optimize electrical components for hardware design
Ability to rapidly create and update production level surfacing that meets manufacturing requirements.


Visualization

Ability to clearly visualize ideas through illustrations and Renderings.
Ability to create story-boards.


Prototyping

Ability to create prototypes that explore form, aesthetics, comfort, and fit.


Experience

Consumer Electronics industry, preferably wearables.
4-8 years of experience


Human Factors

Experience designing products that fit on or around the body.
Ability to work with human-factors partners to improve fit and comfort.
