Required Skills & Experience

The Embedded Software Engineer will support two core wearable products, each with its own ecosystem of accessories, within a dynamic hardware environment. New prototypes and development hardware are introduced regularly, requiring hands-on validation and close cross functional collaboration.
On a daily basis, the engineer will validate software on system hardware, ensure existing frameworks are operating as expected, and enable low-level hardware functionality across devices. Responsibilities will vary depending on product maturity – ranging from final-stage refinements and tying up loose ends on near release products to more in-depth development efforts on earlier-stage initiatives.
The role involves debugging complex system-level issues, analyzing performance, optimizing for power efficiency, and developing or extending features and functionality. While core functionality is already established, the focus will be on scaling and expanding capabilities across multiple products.
The engineer will partner closely with electrical engineers and other software engineers, requiring a strong understanding of hardware components and how software interacts with them. This role is less focused on greenfield prototyping or system architecture and more centered on performance optimization, reliability, and low-level hardware enablement within established wearable products.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
