Insight Global Evergreen is hiring for an onsite contract position with an industry-leading AR/VR technology partner in Seattle. We are looking for an entry-level Data Collector who will use both consumer-grade and experimental prototype AR/VR devices in support of a range of variable data collection efforts in both controlled environments and real-world locations. This is an ongoing, multi-project research and development program, and the role has an estimated duration of 6-12 months, with possibility of extension/renewal.

**Length of employment duration will be based on performance and/or the program needs.**

Responsibilities:
This position supports a highly-adaptive team servicing many wide-ranging engineering research projects, and thus specific requirements are subject to frequent change and evolution. However, some common responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Reading, understanding, and following intricate and evolving data collection procedures
Exercising robust, independent troubleshooting and problem-solving, sometimes under pressure
Downloading and using software, and performing minor coding and data entry, into a variety of software environments (MacBook laptop provided)
Maintaining constant communication and availability during work hours (iPhone and Android work phone + wireless plan provided)
Working both very independently, and as part of a duo/team, depending on project
Answer questions if necessary, as per established guidelines
Interacting with and directing external data research participants with friendly, patient professionalism
Moving between multiple working locations within a day (mileage reimbursement provided)
Performing data review, quality assurance, and annotation
Potentially frequent travel (anywhere from same-day to 1-2 week trips both domestic and international; expenses paid)
Sporadic evening or night shifts (we make a great effort to work around personal schedules)

Pay rate: $22/hr

Strong sense of patience and independent analytical/problem-solving ability
Moderate physical capability (occasionally transporting large devices, collecting up to 8-12 miles per day, etc)
Clear, concise written & spoken communication and interpersonal interaction
Basic knowledge of PC/Mac usage (G Suite, installing programs, keeping organized storage in file explorer, executing basic codes)
Confidence to act under pressure and deadlines, sometimes with minimal practice time
Unafraid to ask questions, make decisions, and exercise independent judgment
Comfort using immersive AR/VR technology
Access to reliable personal transportation

2+ years work experience in a team environment
1+ year work experience in a technical/computer-oriented field
Degree or certificate in a STEM field from an accredited institution
Familiarity with terminal commands and the Python language
Comfort not taking self too seriously – We are an upbeat team with unusual prototypes and procedures, and keeping things light goes a long way!
