A client outside of the Seattle, WA area is searching for a Senior Program Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be a Program Manager coming from an engineering background that has extensive experience managing teams and difficult customers , as well as running New Product Development programs within the Aerospace industry. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that cost, schedule and technical objectives of the program are met. This PM will lead the customer interactions and manage the program efforts to ensure customer expectations are exceeded. This will require active participation by the PM and for this PM to be a strong driver of the program. This candidate will be constantly driving suppliers, meeting with product development teams, and with the customer to ensure that expectations are being met and that deadlines are successfully achieved. The main focus of this role will be to deliver large payload faring for missile defense applications, so any aerospace provider experience or new product development within the defense industry is largely preferred. Familiarity with agile methodologies is required. This role is onsite in Mukilteo, WA 9 days every 2 weeks, working a 9/80 schedule. Lastly, this role requires a highly driven and proactive leader with a strong sense of ownership and urgency. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative to solve problems before they arise, and is committed to delivering results with a high level of accountability and precision. If they are not this they will not survive the program, customer, etc.
