Job Description

The Health Record Reviewer Child Licensing Specialist is responsible for reviewing, verifying, and evaluating health records and documentation related to child care licensing. This role ensures that all submitted health records meet state and federal regulatory standards, with a focus on child safety, immunization compliance, and provider qualifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare documentation, regulatory compliance, and child welfare standards.

Required Skills & Experience

Review and assess health records submitted by child care providers, staff, and children for licensing compliance.
Verify immunization records, physical exams, TB tests, and other health-related documentation.
Ensure documentation aligns with state licensing regulations and public health guidelines.
Communicate with providers to request missing or corrected documentation.
Maintain accurate records of reviews and decisions in the licensing database.
Collaborate with licensing specialists, public health officials, and child care providers.
Stay current on changes in child care licensing laws, health regulations, and best practices.
Provide training or guidance to licensing staff on health documentation standards.
Participate in audits and quality assurance reviews.
