Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Performance Assurance Services Manager for a leading mechanical services and construction organization. This individual will lead a critical group responsible for ensuring seamless transition from project delivery into ongoing service and maintenance through commissioning, QA/QC, and performance validation. The role requires a combination of technical expertise in HVAC/MEP and building systems, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to drive operational excellence across multiple projects. This manager will partner closely with construction, engineering, and service teams to ensure systems are installed, commissioned, and handed off efficiently while maintaining high quality standards. This is a highly visible leadership role focused on continuous improvement, client satisfaction, and scalable business operations. Program and process development that will support in overall company growth to ensure continued business with current clients.
• Lead and manage PAS group including startup, TAB, and Quick Reaction Team technicians
• Oversee QA/QC, installation verification, commissioning, and startup activities
• Coordinate with internal teams (service, construction, engineering) and external clients
• Run weekly service turnover and coordination meetings
• Support sales teams with estimating, proposals, and change orders
• Develop and implement operational procedures, workflows, and best practices
• Monitor project timelines, installation progress, and startup readiness
• Track deficiencies, warranties, and ensure successful project turnover
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate third-party commissioning/startup services
• Maintain equipment database and ensure documentation accuracy for all projects
• Forecast staffing needs and support recruiting/training initiatives
• Ensure safety compliance and promote strong safety culture
• Monitor budgets, productivity, and financial performance of the group

Required Skills & Experience
• 10+ years of experience in HVAC, mechanical systems, plumbing, or commissioning/startup roles
• Strong expertise in HVAC systems, MEP systems, and building automation (BAS/DDC/EMS)
• Deep commissioning experience across full lifecycle (MEP + controls + equipment)
• Proven leadership/people management experience overseeing technical teams
• Experience with QA/QC processes, installation verification, TAB, and startups
• Strong multi-project management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and service teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Valid driver’s license
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA), CCP, or equivalent certification
• QA/QC certification (CQM or equivalent)
• Controls certifications (Distech, Honeywell, JCI, Siemens, Alerton, etc.)
• Experience with Smartsheet, Viewpoint, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), SharePoint, Bluebeam
• Electrical Administrator license in Washington State
• Experience managing third-party vendors and subcontractors
• Background in mission-critical environments or complex mechanical systems
• Familiarity with IoT-enabled building systems and analytics
