Job Description
The Assembler is a skilled manufacturing professional who works with minimal supervision to assemble, test, inspect, and rework Crane Aerospace & Electronics products in accordance with military and other applicable standards.
This role includes preparing and inspecting components, operating production equipment, interpreting drawings and work instructions, and ensuring product quality through visual and dimensional inspection. The Assembler will be in a cleanroom environment with the ability to work up to 8 hours under a microscope and may be required to wear full PPE. The Assembler partners across the value stream to resolve quality issues, support production priorities, complete required documentation, and participate in safety, training, and continuous improvement initiatives. Flexibility to cross‑train, support audits, maintain inventory accuracy, and work overtime as needed is required.

Required Skills & Experience
• 10+ years of cleanroom experience in small‑component assembly in a high‑volume manufacturing environment
- Minimum 1 year of specific J-STD micro soldering experience
- Minimum 1 year of cleanroom experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current or prior IPC soldering certification
• Ability to work under microscope for majority of shift and read instructions, blueprints, and drawings
• Working knowledge of raw materials, chemicals, and production processes
• Experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing or repair environment, with familiarity using computer‑based systems and understanding product flow
Hands‑on experience working with microscopes, cleanrooms, and soldering environments
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Previous experience in a highly regulated industry
• Ability to accurately complete documentation and close work orders
Experience maintaining equipment in compliance with strict calibration schedules
