Job Description

Position Overview:
A fortune 100 aerospace company is seeking Lead or Senior Project Engineers (Program Integration Managers – PIMs) to support urgent and long‑term development, production, and fleet support challenges across the Puget Sound region. This is a high‑visibility, technically demanding leadership role responsible for driving resolution of complex, cross‑functional issues that directly impact airplane delivery and certification commitments. The PIM serves as a technical integrator and problem solver, providing technical, business, and integration leadership across multiple organizations and disciplines, often in ambiguous situations with limited direction. Successful candidates are experienced engineers who can quickly frame unfamiliar problems, ask the right questions, drive root‑cause analysis, and lead teams toward effective solutions while maintaining compliance with U.S. and foreign regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:
• Be an integral part of supporting plane models in-service, in-production and under development, supporting existing programs and the next generation of commercial airplanes
• Lead special projects and initiatives in the areas of safety, certification, and performance as well as program issues as directed by the Program Chief Program Engineer and Director of Engineering
• Commercial aircraft design and/or analysis experience within Airframe, Flight Sciences, Interiors, Propulsion or Systems Experience with certification, working with FAA regulations and Regulatory Administration
• Develop integrated plans, establish and lead teams, monitor and respond to technical developments throughout the life of a customer introduction program
• Manage risk & opportunities, and support cross-functional & cross-Integrated Product Team issues
• Lead cross-functional technical integration, certification and project management in support of resolving complex issues to help deliver airplanes, return airplanes into service, resolve supply chain issues, mitigate risks, actualize opportunities, delivery and production stream sustainability
• Lead detailed investigations to ensure system integration and compliance, with requirements and to preclude safety issues
Communicate routinely with Internal and External Customers (peers, stakeholders, senior and executive leadership), Regulators and/or suppliers

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Haves:
• Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• 10+ years’ performing complex engineering or system integration work
• 7+ years’ in leading and/or managing complex projects
5+ years' developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior executives, customers, stakeholders, peers and business partners

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses:
• 14+ years' in transport aircraft programs (Boeing 7-series and/or McDonnell Douglas) including hands-on leadership of major design changes through development and certification
• 5+ years' navigating U.S and/or foreign certification processes for aircrafts
• Natural execution leader who operates comfortably outside of their comfort zone, removes roadblocks and drives results
